Back few years the serious gamers had a laugh of criticism to the people who used a gaming laptop.  The reason was the lack of performance by the laptops. They were just ordinary compared to the desk top gamming pcs. The performance of gamming pc was so ordinary that it did not stand a chance for the gamming laptops to be in comparison to the gamming desktop pcs. A desktop computer was always the one to satisfy the gamers.

With years passed and the continuous development in the laptop technology now the performance have become better and faster. it has happened through the introduction of powerful mobile processors like dual core or quad which are enhanced even more with the use of dual graphics technology. But even with all these improvement the laptop gamming computers will still have to go a long way to catch up with the gamming desktop computers.

Hopefully with the 5^th & 6^th generation laptop technology the performance gap will be quizzed. But to make that happen, setting the desktop gadgets in the laptop & making it so heavy is never a bright idea. As you won’t be able to play games keeping the giant mutant laptop on your lap for a long time.

Though it is shocking that how heavy the laptop specialists have made the laptop while trying to make it as efficient as a desktop gamming computer, what is even more shocking is that the price they are asking you to pay for the laptop. You might say that you are ready to pay any price for the laptops with high performance but think for a moment if the price is really like anything.

The major drawback though is not the price.  The major shortcoming of these laptops is that it leaves you with a little room of upgrading the laptop with new modifications. Whereas with the gaming pcs there are slots open for you to upgrade it as you wish to. But with the gaming laptops you could realistically upgrade the RAM only as there is no room to upgrade other parts of your laptop.

And you could have a desktop of the best possible configuration at the price that you are going to pay for buying a gamming laptop. So it gives you something to think about when you want to buy a gamming laptop. And the question is also about your level of satisfaction.

One thing that might explain the fact that why after knowing about all these disadvantages people buys a gamming laptop is the marvelous look that these laptops have. It’s so called ‘cool’ look attracts so many people who gives priority to looks rather than the performance. people who would buy a racing car with less performance compared to all the efficient cars are more likely to buy these   heavy monsters.

But summing up all the tiny parts it can not be said that gamming laptops are popular only for it’s looks. As far as gamming is concerned you can get the job done with laptops but only it w ill make you spend a few more bucks on it & think before you buy a gamming laptop as it will make you carry a monster with you. If you can do all these then buying a gamming laptop won’t be such a bad idea.
